Depending on the buyer there are two types of Tender and procurement in Azerbaijan republic: Public and Private.
The Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Public Procurements extends to procurement of goods (works and services) performed in the Republic of Azerbaijan by state enterprises and organizations (administrations), enterprises and organizations, state share in charter fund of which is 30 and more percent at the account of state funds, loans and grants obtained by state and received under state guarantee.
Procurement of goods (works and services) performed in the Republic of Azerbaijan by private enterprises is regulated by the specific civil legislation of Azerbaijan Republic.
Both tenders come in many forms, such as PQQs (pre-qualification questionnaires), ITTs (invitations to tender), RFQs (requests for quotation), RFIs (requests for information), RFPs (requests for proposal) etc. High value contracts can be very attractive but dealing with corporate, government & council tenders, PQQs, RFPs etc. can be confusing, time-consuming and off-putting.
